About Us
Impresariat Simmenauer was founded in Hamburg in 1989 by Sonia Simmenauer with the goal of creating an agency exclusively for string quartets. The Alban Berg Quartett, the Cleveland Quartett and the Guarneri Quartett are among the artists Impresariat Simmenauer accompanied through their final days on stage. Later the agency also took on soloists who, as Kim Kashkashian then expressed it, sought to be taken care of in a chamber music fashion.
In 2009, Impresariat Simmenauer moved its headquarters to Berlin. Today, Impresariat Simmenauer represents internationally respected string quartets and soloists in Europe and worldwide.
